Bloodlust

There is a man within me, somewhere,
However the urge for blood is too much,
Turning me into a savage beast,
Wanting only to kill, and to drink.

It's all about the chase,
To have your prey flee, while you follow,
So sure of their fate,
Yet reveling in their effort to avoid it.
For there is no fun in having your meal served bound and gagged on a plate,
It is adrenaline you want, adrenaline you need,
For it is the spice of life,
Making the blood run sweeter.

I have a passion for life,
Not in living it, but in taking it away,
In watching it drain from the eyes of my victims,
Slowly, yet surely,
Through torture, through torment,
Their screams of agony, music to my ears.

I will not let them die.
The longer they linger, the greater I feel,
Watching the sweat pour down their face,
Ragged breaths making chests heave,
Still I will not feed of them, will not taste their wares,
But only take a sample, a measure of what is to come.

My victim is but a toy, a plaything,
With which to fulfill myself,
Leaving me in a euphoric state,
Knowing their life is in my trust,
To do with as I wish, as I please,
But one bite to end it all.

Yes there is a man within me,
For it is the man who makes me take pleasure in what I do.

Life from the vantage point of a vampire, and the pleasures it entails.

Any comments or constructive criticism would be appreciated :) (Smile)

i think it's pretty good considering how hard it must be to write from that perspective. i know i couldn't do it. but, maybe a little more power in the beginning. the flow just isn't quite right there

T R E M E R E ! ! ! Thou art TREMERE :p (Razz) This piece remind me of TREMERE :) (Smile) Taumaturgy (it is correct this name in english?:p (Razz) ) this is a really nice discipline :) (Smile) Reminds me also a vampire full of humanity and with pray exclusion (it is the english term for this thing? :p (Razz) ) - RPG rlz :p (Razz)
yet I don't like the vampire real cult (should I call it vampirism? :p (Razz) )

I love the first line: "There is a man within me, somewhere," and "I have a passion for life, / Not in living it, but in taking it away," is very telling. I love the emotion in the poem, but the last lines seem somewhat abrupt, fitting in less, and naturally the concept they present would, as it is with odds with the rest of the poem, where he takes pleasure from his victims' toil. He is hungry. However, if he regrets it, perhaps a line showing more frustration, peeking through, as it's apparently forced to, or is always in the back of his mind... Poor fellow. He regrets his addiction, but he can't live without it. I like this alot, and take my suggestions as you like. This is very nice.

Ok, you persona reminds me of the majority of women in the world, around whom we must be on constant guard.

I may have missed the mark on interpretation.

A passionate, and diturbing pow=em none the less.

Well done.
